Switching from a regular clasp to a hidden clasp on a President
Hi I am a new forum member, love my watches, I have an older Rolex President Day Date but it has a regular clasp, I would like to swap it for a hidden clasp. Can anyone lead me in the correct direction or past thread or instruction on how easy, difficult or ???
Thanks for your help |

I have both on watches and they are different bracelets…
I suspect you will want to source a correct hidden clasp bracelet that has enough spare links… Someone else may have more info though… |

On some bracelets you can just remove the regular clasp and bolt in a hidden clasp, even though they are different bracelet part numbers.
A new bracelet is around 15,000 bucks, where as you can save a few bucks getting a clasp alone for 5 to 7,000 bucks - if you can find one.

If your bracelet is in good condition, you may be able to find someone who would swap with you. Some people prefer the older style, either for the micro adjustment availability or for the more vintage look.

Thank you this is a fantastic forum
I was lucky I just got a really nice used hidden clasp (clasp only no bracelet) for $2,000 which is why I want to learn how to swap the old clasp for the hidden clasp. |
