Local jeweler loses Omega dealer status

EGOMA.

I almost bought a Speedy on leather from them a couple years back.

Terrible. I can understand how you feel because the reasonably large community where I live now has zero authorized Omega dealers. Terrible...

Sorry for that. That’s a PITA.

I can’t complain, Paris has many Omega dealers. I just happened to like this one, as when we would stop in to look at jewelry for my wife or daughter, I could check out Omegas. ;-)

Truth be told, I mostly posted the photo because I thought their “EGOMA” move was pretty funny.

Does that stunt from the owner imply that their store was not up to Omega standards of display? Because that place looks tiny and outdated from the pictures, the owner probably didn't want to heavily invest into renovating his space to comply with Omega requirements. There are always two sides in every story...

Just a local family business. No grand message meant by my post, though. Just sharing “EGOMA”.

Hey, maybe this is only the beginning of a bigger development. I don't know the details, but the Enicar watch company probably sprang from a dying Racine watch company (Enicar is simply Racine backward).

Just think, I could be winding my new Egoma Masterspeed each morning pretty soon

I hadn’t thought of that! Swatch very well might be switching from Omega to Egoma to increase the distinctiveness of the brand.

You heard it first on TRF….. ;-)
