Really depends on the condition on the 16520. If unpolished mint and full set I would go zenith. If not Daytona C. Metal polished bezel are scratch magnets and repolished bezel always look bad.

A white dialled Zenith would be my choice.

There’s no doubt both are incredible watches.

1) Seems like there’s a preference for modern on this sub-forum.
2) The Zenith with brushed lugs, patina, and different placement of seconds sub-register is just *chef’s kiss*.
3) There are far fewer unpolished 16520 Zeniths than there are DaytonaCs.
4) Even so, the White Dial 116500LNs will go down as a classic just like the Zenith.
5) Secondary market for both will continue to go bonkers. Happy to see folks out there who wear and enjoy both without tucking away.

Maybe not in parity anymore. Just saw a new 116500LN (White) listed at $48k. I had to do a double-take. Wow.

I personally love the contrast of the black ceramic bezel against the white dial over the steel bezel. The black bezel also compliments the black subdial "circles" imo.

If it was a black dial watch, then it would be the Zenith for me. The steel bezel compliments the lighter subdial "circles" for me.

Can’t get your 116500 factory brushed. I learned that the hard way.

100%. It’s a subtle difference, and one that appeals to me immensely.

Thinking back, I would prefer a black ceramic or a white zenith.

If I had to choose right NOW, I think I would take the Zenith. White dial, latest model with most up to date bracelet.

Any pre-ceramic before any ceramic. I find the ceramic bezel too heavy looking for such a small and detailed watch.
