Thank You, David SW!

I had bought 2 Rolexes straight from ADs, the last in 1999. In December, I began looking on-line for a DJTT. I had emailed Kormans here in Austin & called Korman & Ben Bridge & called Ben Bridge & got a quick "We can't help you".they couldn't get off the phone fast enough..Rude! I went into Korman's on 1/3/22 & talked with a SA & we hit it off. I tried a DJ Demo & loved it. There was a Day Date 40 & I tried it on...eventhough it was too big, it was love. I called back later that week to say I was ready to buy ASAP & was really interested in the DD. I called back a week later & she told me they had a shipment & was sold out & that it would be months to a year.

I looked at this forum & saw a lot of good reviews for David SW. Last Saturday afternoon, I began conversations with them & they said they would get back to me. @ hours later, David emailed me & we talked about the DD36 in yellow gold & he said he would do a search. I was surprised to get an email from him David on Sunday AM that he located a new one for $40K. We talked & I got got the routing data & said I'd take it. Monday was a Holiday, so I wired the $$ on Tuesday & received the watch via Fed Ex at 10am on Wednesday!!

I was bothered about paying $6k over MSRP, but remembered I would have to pay $3k in sales tax here, so the markup was really just 3k. It was hard to believe that I talked to David on Saturday & was wearing it on Wednesday..Box, Card & all Papers included.

I don't usually openly praise a company, but this was fantastic service 5 days, with 1 being a holiday!! So, Thank you, David, for the great service!!

I also would like to thank y'all on the Forum for your reviews of David SW. ALSO, if you've done business with him, please comment here.

Yes, there will be pictures coming...I just switched from a flip phone to a new Apple phone, so I'm not sure how to transfer the photos.

AND, YES, I love my new Yellow Gold Day Date & glad I bought the DD instead of going for the DJ...IF I had bought the DJ, a great watch, I would still be looking at that DD & wondering....

If you are in Texas, you are technically , legally supposed to pay use tax if the seller does not collect sales tax. I always factor the tax into the price.

DAVID SW DID factor in the sales tax in his quote..so, it WAS paid. And can you slow the number of Californians moving to Austin????

Congrats on parlaying your phone bill savings into a Rolex! Austin is a very nice place, I can understand why Californians are moving there.

David is great - he is one of the more available dealers. You never wait long for a response. The days of that service and below MSRP were extra nice. There is a place for grays and for ADs. Happy you got the watch and had a good experience. Can't beat that new watch feeling!

David is a great guy and one of the best in the business. I’ve dealt with him on several occasions and he has provided a flawless experience each time. I’m glad he was able to help you out and as you mentioned with only a modest markup. Enjoy and wear it in good health.

Friendly reminder to everyone of two things:
1) DavidSW is one of the best sellers I have worked with
2) The Austin Ben Bridge location has become increasingly rude

Not a surprise to hear this. I've purchased a number of watches from David over the years. Class act from start to finish. He truly understands what customer service is!

Just breaking your stones.. I'm 62 but feel good and try to take care of myself. We're not young roosters anymore, but the good old days will always be the best of times. Enjoy your new baby..

YO!
I lived outside of Philly..King of Prussia & the Main Line.
I was a Treasury Agent assigned to the Federal Reserve Bank in Philly, on Independence Mall, across from the mint. I left there in 1989 to return to Texas.

Yo Will, good to know your worked in the city. Actually, I live about 15 minutes from Independence Mall in the 4th & Girard St. area and my doctor is at Jefferson Hospital, so I go to Center City a few times a year. I can walk to CC from my home. Also, my uncle worked at the US Mint for 20 years as a security guard around that time. I've been living in Philly since I was born in 1959 and worked for the Phila. School District for 35 years. I see you were in the suburbs which is heaven from where I grew up in North Philly where it's a whole different world. Were you born in Pennsylvania? Talk with you soon, gotta take mom to the supermarket.
