A comment that surprised me

hi guys
Today I found out that Walmart sells Rolex watches, I guess used although today I saw on the website a 126750 that advertised it as preowned but in the description it said unworn with guarantee and authenticated and with a much lower price than those offered on ebay.
The truth... I was surprised that they are marketed on that site and I wanted to discuss them with you

Walmart does not sell Rolex... Consumers can use Walmarts platform to sell Rolex.

Definitely online. In the 2 walmarts I go to there is never even staff at the watch counters though there is a decent collection of under $100 quartz watches, some very nice looking.

Haven't seen a Rolex at a Costco in over a year. Maybe you know of one?

I've noticed in a few mall chain stores that they have also started selling Rolex. Most of them look to be heavily polished 90s pieces priced insanely high.

Even AAFES online is doing it. Almost all older Rolex watches priced ridiculously high. Looks like they are from “WLXT, LLC“, just selling on the AAFES site.

Some of the sellers may not be updating their listings. Prices look too good.

Haven't seen them at the Costco warehouses I go to since pandemic. But up until 2018 or so, I did see quite a few datejusts (almost always TT and with diamonds) and an occasional tt sub, for slightly below msrp, with a rare sighting of a tt daytona.

Kinda wish I bought it when they had them....imagine the cash back using the citi costco visa card + exec rebate!!!

Except for official Rolex prices on their listings, all other prices that are offered everywhere are insane.

Correct. Walmart’s platform allows for marketplace products to be listed by “approved third-party” sellers.

I think I remember seeing a Hulk at Sam’s Club several years ago. One of my old coworker’s dad bought his first Rolex at Sam’s in the 80s or 90s.

No, not at Costco. But sellers can use Costco’s website as an online platform/storefront. They pay to use Costco’s trusted name.

Sorta like many things you find on Amazon are not actually sold by Amazon.
