WTB: Datejust 36, champagne linen dial.
Hello folks.
After looking, researching, procrastinating and deliberating, I think I've narrowed down what I'm looking for in a Rolex. I am not overly informed in the specifics, so please forgive any omitted key details, but so far, this is what I'm looking for, in order of importance: -Datejust 36MM -Fluted bezel (18K gold - for color mostly, rather than 14K) -Champagne linen dial - Prefer a "pie-pan" dial but no extra ornamentation - so no diamonds or unicorn fur linings - Leather band much preferred, but I also like a jubilee bracelet (would probably switch it to leather though - but the option of either might be good) - I like watches that have "pointed" hands - few have this though it seems, so not critical. -In terms of movement, I'm told the Caliber 3035 quick-set would be convenient, but I see that as secondary to other preferences - unless there's something other than "convenience" I don't mind taking a moment longer to set the date. -Boxes, papers, etc: Not that critical to me. Obviously if they are available, that's a bonus, but I wouldn't buy or not based on their availability. That's what I have so far. If there is some component or feature you think I;ve missed, please let me know. I recognize I may not find a watch with every one of the above, but this is the wish list so far. EDIT: I also wanted to mention that good to very good condition is what I'm looking for. For example, if the watch were a classic car, I'm not looking for a Concourse winner, but would like to find a good 15-footer ;-) Please let me know if you have something that might work for me. Thanks. Allan. |
