A Lange: Lange 1 grand moon vs. Lange 1 world time

Hi All,

I'd need some A Lange collectors and experts to help here between the Lange 1 series that I've decided to go either Lange 1 Grand moon vs World time.

Which one would you pick and one?
also, would you go for a classic color combination such as rose gold with silver white dial or you'd go with new younger looking white gold with Black dial?

Thanks for all your inputs and feedbacks

If it were my first Lange I would go with a classic Lange 1 or Lang 1 moonphase. Not in love with the aesthetics of the world time. I personally went with a the classic one but wish I held out for a moonphase.

Lange 1 Moonphase. I find the World Time a bit too busy.

I have a grand Lange 1 and a Lange 1 Timezone. Love both, but while the Grand Lange 1 gets out only sparingly, the Timezone has snuck its way into becoming my daily watch. It strikes the balance between elegant and casual so much better than the more classic iterations of the Lange 1, which remain very formal watches. The Timezone though is as much of a Jeans and T-Shirt watch as a Lange could ever be, but will of course still be just as well suited for more formal outings. It’s become my favorite watch by a landslide, even when I never expected it would. Mine is rose gold with silver, as the platinum is a bit too pale for my liking and the WG with black is better on more classic models without the blue and red details (I have that configuration on my regular grand Lange 1.

So to summarize, I can only recommend the Timezone if you really want a watch you can where everywhere for everything (within the scope of what you’d use a precious metal high watchmaking timepiece for of course, I don’t recommend rock climbing or deep sea diving). The regular size L1 Moonphase is a much smaller and more elegant watch, with a much higher dress coefficient to it and thus less of an everyday proposition. The Grand L1 Moonphase is a bit blunt compared to the regular L1 MP, so that I’d forego altogether, but that’s of course my subjective view only.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and glad you own both pieces that you pointed out some great points. When I did my research around both watches that as you can tell most articles would talk about Lange 1 MP more than the time zone.
