Three modern GMTs
Just because … Inadvertently captured quite well the difference between WG and steel here quite well, even for me it’s hard to tell at first glance to the untrained eye, without knowing the references of course. I know some collectors like to only collect steel professional models but I have to say it pales in comparison Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Might as well try to get the Stainless Steel Pepsi at this point? |

The WG is subtlety warmer and looks great on the GMT’s.

Love all three.
The LN was my first 6 digit reference, and what a great reference it was. I started collecting in the age of the 5 digits, and by the time the GMT2-c came along, I was so frustrated with trying to get a bracelet to fit I had just about given up on Rolex. When the easy link and subsequent release of the glide lock, I literally was hearing a choir of angels singing the Hallelujah Chorus. Of course, when the WG Pepsi came out, I was all over that, too. Despite post after post here on TRF what a horrible watch it was because of the wrong shades of red and blue. But I thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. Love at first sight. Oddly enough though, when the steel version came out a few years later, all of a sudden those problems were not such a big deal anymore. Heck, there even soon followed Mk 1, 2, and 3, bezels with camps of followers for each version. Sorry for the long winded post...guess I'm feeling a little reflective today. Love your GMT's, my friend. |

The 116719 is such a great model from a collectors point of view and I think that it now being available in the same combination in steel, makes me love it even more. |
