if you define value as $$$ difference of dealer price and market price, then OP 41 Turqoise blue is my pick

However if value means what you enjoy to wear, cherish ownership, has history and sentimental value, then the choice are purely personal

For me is a toss between my Blue SS skydweller and SS daytona 116520

Yep, I´d go with the 116622 Platinum dial as well. Not only is it the best valued Rolex today, it´s also currently one of the rarest versions on the market. When checking availability on Chrono24 a week ago, there were only 20 or so pieces WW. Today there are only 14. Will it be 8 next week and then finito? Who nows....

Seeing as the 126622 is now climbing over the 20k-line, I´d hurry up catching this particular Platinum-dial version before it´s too late and the greys start capitilizing on it.

Biggest sleeper in the line-up imo.

Not sure of the best value, but I can easily name the worst value Rolex today :)

The turquoise OP.

Ridiculous market for an entry level watch.

I agree, the two tone Sea Dweller is a great value, new or used.

The Explorer II is the one model that is still classic, clean, and affordable when compared to the other models….
Plus you get a cool GMT complication as a bonus…

It was yes, that was my perception as well, even had a discussion about this with an AD who predicted they would keep on hoovering around retail even on the grey market. I disagreed, got mine last year and they are now indeed breaking into 20K+ territory. Sleeper no more. If you can get one from an AD it would be a solid investment. And they wear a lot less top-heavy then Subs/SD/DSSD.

Totally agree! An incredible buy right now for a PM Rolex. I bet these will be trading hands at 20k very soon.

5 digit Yachtmasters are great value right now. Steel under 10k, YG around 27k

Best value is a Sub or Sub/Date .

That's AD or even grey .

Grey bargain is a 116660 Black ..if you have the wrists.Awesome watch !!!

Many people missed the OP’s statement that it’s based on market price, not MSRP.

I’d say the DJ41, white dial, smooth bezel, oyster bracelet.

SD43 for sure. Its crazy to me that people will pay up for a standard sub and the SD43 still hovers just above msrp.

You think so? It simply tells time and is good under water. For not that much more you can get a datejust and pick cool combos with the bezel and bracelet and it tells the date. Not to mention much cooler dials

SS SkyD at MSRP, other manufactures with the same complications are much more. At market rate, EXII.

OP 36 with the blue sunburst dial and the 3 6 9 dial can still be had for around $7k USD which is a pretty good value compared to all of the others.

Maybe an older air king? They're old and expensive, but still selling for under msrp for a new one.
