I wore my watch daily since I got it 7 years ago this month. Out of curiosity l, I looked up current asking prices and wondering now if it has become too expensive/ valuable to wear every day! Has anyone raised their insurance coverage to current values?

I insure based on market value, not retail price. It’ll be very hard to replace any watch at retail

Made the switch to full PM in 2009 and for almost a decade I pretty much only wore gold variations subs/GMTs and Daytonas. I have gone back to wearing SS (mainly sea-dwellers) most of the time, now: more under the radar in a time of economical distress and SM hype.

Have primarily worn a Day Date (President) as a daily watch for over 40 years. With it now in the rotation with my YG Submariner and YG Oysterquartz Day Date. Sometimes even add the Oysterquartz Datejust (18K YG & stainless) to the group.

Congratulations, it’s beautiful and ‘under the radar’ too.

IMO only people who ‘know’ would spot this as a PM watch.

I think that is the beauty of platinum, the untrained eye would never discern it from SS. As a caveat, I will say, DD my platona, the extra weight ALL day can be a bit cumbersome at the end of the day, especially if you are not sitting at your desk all day. Personally I would prefer the weight of WG.

To each their own. I personally don’t get it. Looks like a beautiful 904L Sub date. Why not just wear a Sub date? I know I know, the bezel. Congratulations.

I’m with Bryan on this one

Once my AD comes through on this one I think it’s my Rolex exit piece and on to Patek!

Anything that is not yellow gold gets a huge thumps up from me

White gold, platinum, whatever so long it is not yellow gold. Not sure why I dislike with everything I got, yellow gold. I am glad the SS fluted DD watches comes with white gold bezel.

That blue Sub looks stunning! I've worn many PM Rolexes on a daily, esp those with ceramic bezels were never an issue.

Thank you brother, even more dynamite in person, the diamonds are much more subtle than in photos. A major homerun in the current lineup.

Haven’t warmed up to wearing it daily since it’s a lot of money on my wrist, but I do want to put it on everyday. I’m planning on a couple more pm pieces so maybe by default I will be wearing one everyday b

Yes I switch between a WG Daytona and a YG blue dial sub. They are both amazing.
