My first Rolex was a 34mm 1962 vintage OP (black dial) that I inherited from my uncle. Sadly, I no longer have it, but I've let my AD know that I'd be interested in a current model OP34 (black dial) if one becomes available. I do have a couple of other vintage watches w/ 34mm dials, though. I tend to prefer watches in the 38-40mm range most of the time, but with individual watches I've gone up and down quite a bit from that.

My all time favourite to wear and look at too…

If I had to get rid of all of them, this would be the last and hardest to part with.

Personally, I love the way a 34mm fits on my 6.5 inch wrist. I have a 40mm Sea Dweller and 40mm Explorer II in addition to my 34mm AirKing and 6694 Oyster Date. I much prefer the fit and look of the smaller watches on my wrist. This is subjective, because individuals with larger wrists my find the 34mm a tad top small for their liking.

Really one of the best looking references ever. I don’t think it’s a far cry to think they will bring this back.

This dial would look great on just about any reference.

I’m a sucker for blue and green though. And I don’t like yellow purple or red.

Rolex 34mm watches are under appreciated and absolutely a value buy. In advance…. we understand that this is not a large wrist thread.

Got a photo?
I agree.

My 1987 Perpetual Date. I think the champagne dial works great with the gold bezel and two-tone bracelet.
