This is why when I decide to go after a Tudor Sub, I will buy from Steve and no other.
I cannot tell why this is a fake.

remember that serial number 737738

there has been some take about small rose on a 7016 vs shield

shield would be 100% right for the year. in a small rose, my gut

case back

i don't like the movement number, BUT i'LL BUY THE WINDING WEIGHT FOR PARTS

...has telltale 737748 SN...

...the font of the "3" is INCORRECT, because it is a FAKE.

...stainless steel is not even on the case between the lugs.

...additionally, the 7016 ONLY came with the 2461 or 2483 mvmts.

...das FAULKER.

...the ebay Counterfeit Team ANGEL needs to visit this one.

that's my point. ever time i see a small rose 7016 it seems to be BOGUS! i was once told by a more knowlegde collector that in his words " over 90% no date subs w/ rose are no good " he also threw in the old tudor ranger and advisor. all highly faked and all highly collectible so in my small tanited thinking mind, no good until proven

tudor no date subs with rose dial are usually early model and rare, therefore they are very collectible.

be honest...I generally match up dials to make sure all the script is alligned..

and placed correctly. If you are ever in doubt of a dial...go to the dial archives of the VRF and they have plenty to match up to. I have had alot of 60's "rose" tudor subs. Out of all the Rolex's-Tudors etc. the 7928 is my favorite watch.

fake watches won't kill the real one. instead they will make them more valuable. believe me. fake rolex watches existed a long time ago, but they cannot kill the real rolex, instead it makes rolex more popular.

yes, fakes are simply but pretty darn good! but they cannot match the quality of the real ones and that's where the value lies.

I have seen some very close fakes, until they hit the old H2O, bloob bloob, and they die. there's always going to be something that is not just right on them, my only concern is when these are being passed off to the unsuspecting buyer as a watch worth thousands when its only worth a coupla bucks. thats gets my back up big time, to the can with the lot of them

sir, yes they do kill off the desire to own! who here will/wants to walk down a street thats boobie trapped almost ever time!

i don't play them odds, careless hurts,>>>>> you can count me OUT.

small rose dials on 7016's, feet are grind and reattached. dials for glued down why play?
that is very common!!!!

lets say i've learned on the glue part back in the late 90's (mistakes didn't cost as much back then)

value is just a number that changes day to day . it goes up and it goes down.

if a 7016 is 100% correct it has some value and it goes down as it becomes a parts watch or a put together watch RIGHT!!
