Large Cartier Santos Blue PVD question

I am thinking of adding this to the collection. I currently have the medium Santos. The large is a bit big but love the blue PVD. My question is regarding the strap. I plan to mainly wear on the rubber strap but was told you can't get a shorter strap for this model. I have just a shade under 6.5" wrist. Does anyone with smaller wrists have any issues with the length of the rubber strap on the large?

I have the silver/blue dial and about a 6.6 wrist. I think I’m the 2/3 tightest and it fits great. The large fills up my topside real estate but no overhang. Very comfy watch.

Some poster here commented these models are 1 year only. I’d love to confirm that if you know anything.

Great. I heard the same thing from an AD about 1 year run but not positive on that. Thanks

Finally was able to try the watch on the rubber strap. It is very comfortable but just a bit too long. They are going to double check on a shorter strap but I am not too hopeful.

I heard it’ll be a 1 year run as well from my AD. I have a 6.5in flat wrist and I’m at the second to last hole on the regular strap. It’s honestly one of the comfiest watches I’ve tried so far

Yes my SA confirmed the 1 year run. Even on the last hole, it is just a bit long. I have 6.3" wrist. I am really bummed that Cartier doesn't offer a short strap because it is so comfortable.

Delugs is making straps for the Cartier again. You can order as short as you want from them.

What does “1 year run” mean?
Do this mean that they will produce it for one year only?
