Hello everyone,

I thought I would make a small introduction post and see how things go here. I am from the UK and live up north near Aberdeen where we have 1 AD.

I sought out this forum after a bit of a disappointment, approx 5 years back I went into the AD in Edinburgh and after some discussions I put myself on the list got a GMT Master II (Batman). I checked approximately once a year and no movement until christmas time where they could no longer find me on their records and basically nothing they could do.

Looking through the web and forums it now seems like these models are almost impossible to obtain from AD unless you have history. So.....I was thinking I should approach the AD in Aberdeen and maybe see about getting hold of a Sub Date for myself and maybe something for my wife. Maybe in a year or 2 the GMT will be a bit more accessible especially if I have some purchase history with the AD.

FYI I am not buying a Sub just to get history with AD I genuinely like the watch and would love one, from there maybe work my way up so to speak and obtain a few of the harder to get models.

Does anyone here have any thoughts or maybe some advice for someone starting basically from 0 with 0 history?
