Greetings !!
Hey folks, thought I would take a moment to share. I have followed Rolex since I was a 5 year old. My grandpa had a Cellini, my dad an Air-King, and my stepdad a yacht master(he was actually a boat captain). I have after many years of waiting, struggles and triumphs, gotten to where I could afford my first watch bearing Rolex lineage. About 3 months ago after about 2 hours of deliberations between a datejust 41 (white dial, smooth bezel, oyster band) a Tudor GMT, and a blue dial Tudor BB 41, a chose the BB41. I originally was on a waiting list for the datejust41 with my local AD for about a year, and I got a call at work and it was them saying it was here. I rushed over to get it but in the end with a divorce happening I decided to play it safe and get the BB41. The AD rep I have been talking with understood and helped me with my BB41. They removed a link for me to size it up to my wrist and it now gets more wrist time than my very sentimentally cherished Navy-issue Luminox. Yes I know its a ho-hum watch but that was issued to me by the Navy and it means a lot. I have another a lot like it but in stainless form. This is my first high-end watch and I still intend on getting the datejust 41, because I just love it. Another one I want is the white dial Explorer. Some info on me? Well obviously I am ex-military (Desert Storm era), I was an F-18 avionics guy. Since then I did higher education and hold several diplomas in I.T. and one in Cybersecurity from M.I.T. Currently I am an IT Systems Admin for a worldwide known corporation. Before then I worked for the government and at the local University. I am also an avid car enthusiast and very fond of German cars, my first car being German. Anyway, not sure where to post a pic of my BB41 (Tudor section?.. idk, also need 10 posts first apparently), but it gets compliments everywhere I go. You would be surprised those that know what it is, spot it even at a good distance away. Cheers to all.
