There’s no bang for the buck” with Omega.. Rolex watches, generally hold their value and many appreciate in value over time. With the exception of a few special models, Omegas’ lose value the minute you leave the Boutique/AD. This is why there are still substantial discounts available at an AD regardless of what people say on the forum. Most of their models are slow movers.

is there a year by year price of moonwatch table for the last several years, or at least with 3861 movement?

Yep they’re up. NTTD Bond watch went from $9,500 to a cool $10,000. Thanks inflation, my pay went up but so did everything else

You do know that Rolex sells more models than Omega, right? Almost 2x the number.

I wouldn’t call Omega slow movers, but they definitely move slower than Rolex. There’s a reason you can get almost any Omega reference from a boutique, but that is not the same for Rolex. Even though Rolex makes approx 1m watches and Omega 500k.

Just got offered and purchased the blue Seamaster with a 20% discount (probably because it was the last day of the Financial Year and they have sales targets) at the old price.
Next day the price jumped by 8% and no discounts are being offered

Very happy with my new Omega and even more happy with the price increases

Was this at an AD/Boutique?

An AD

I suspect that they were desperate to reach annual sales targets hence the big push last week to move stock.

When I went there there were a number of buyers doing deals on the non hyped models, so I suspect they were using the tipoff on price rises to generate deals.

I could be wrong but I can't think of another reason for the EFY push.

They also offered me the green or the black version but with a 8% discount, I was tempted but they didn't really appeal to me like the classic blue.

I got my black dial 300M on rubber for $4,350 from an AD not even a year ago. Granted I got a nice discount. But now the MSRP is $5,600. $5,900 on bracelet. Wow.

I visited a couple Omega AD’s recently and they have PLENTY of stock. I think discounts would still be available for most models. Not from a boutique but I would not pay full MSRP from an AD.

That is a significant price increase. Let’s see if the used watch prices will go up as well.

I am surprise with the price increase. I am glad I bought the Speedy 2 months before.
But I am done with Omega, the new price just insane.

Rising tides float all boats, I'm sure at some point the pre-owned pricing will reflect a fraction of this.

My Planet Ocean Chronograph in CAD was $11,300 a couple years back, the in the past year or so (if I recall correctly) it went to $11,800 CAD. Now it's $12,400 as listed on the Omega website.

Albeit expected, it's a significant increase. I'll start tracking the pre-owned market on eBay and Chrono24 to see when this is reflected there.

When, could be IF reflected there. Not so sure values will go up. I think ADs gonna be forced to discount again to move stuff

That's a fair point, and I'm hoping it remains that way, truthfully. For me, part of the appeal of Omega was to either buy a watch I would keep for life new (with a discount) or find one pre-owned for thousands less than the MSRP.

I would only buy the Snoopy or Ed White at Omega boutiques/ADs. Why should somone pay $8K for sapphire Moonwatch professional when greys are seeling at ~$6500 or preowned ones between $5500-6k?

Because they don't want to buy second hand, to buy the seller, to build history so they're offered a Snoopy or 321.

I think Omega is dangerously out pricing their products...You go to any OMEGA boutique or AD and its FULL of inventory, you can literally buy anything you want. (EXCEPT ofc for snoopy or 321 etc).

Exactly, you get it!!20% discounts were always available at ADs because, otherwise, who would buy these watches. I got my 2015 Silver Snoopy Award from my AD, not Boutique.

Snoopys are boutique exclusive. At least the latest one is.

Discounts are great, I always ask for one. Grey is okay too if you can trust the source.

For me, my one rule is bever ever pay over MSRP, secondary or AD.

Is it easy to get the Snoopy or the Ed White at a boutique if you’ve never bought anything there?

Yes... but it will cost you. Tell them that's what you want and ask them how much it will cost to play.

You'll have to buy that much worth of merchandise

Word is Omega have lowered dealers margins so large discounts are going to be a thing of the past. Their sales are also performing very well.
As for price increases what hasn't? If you go and use an inflation calculator then for example a Speedmaster is less that 3 years ago new.
Inflation benefits some and hurts others. Generally one would assume luxury watch buyers have benefitted.

This increase is embarrassing from Omega. The green dial gold Omega Speedmaster was like $34,800 when it was introduced in March 2022, now it is over $40,000.
