Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Question

I'm looking at purchasing a new white dial 300M with rubber strap. The original strap is the tang buckle style, but contemplating purchasing the other strap and deployment clasp.... It's a bit speedy at $500. Does anyone have any feedback or personal experience as to whether you could recommend it? Thanks!

I would buy it on a SS bracelet and get a black rubber strap with a deployment clasp on the side. I like it better than the tang buckle.
The watch is beautiful either way you go!

I bought on the rubber strap. But then I replaced with a rubber and deployment. Saved me money and I was able to sell the rubber strap that came with the watch.

The rubber on deployant is the only way I would wear this watch and do. I got tired of wrestling with the tang a long time ago.

If I were to buy another version I would go for the bracelet and add the rubber strap and deployant clasp and store the bracelet for future use rather than having a spare tang strap sitting around. I already have a couple of those.

I’ll take the other side. I like their tang. My view is if you have a smaller strap the deployant is a bust with too much tucked under creating bulk and on the tightest holes not comfy

omega rubber strap with tang buckle is the best. It’s very soft but let’s your wrist breathe.

The panerai rubber is very sticky and dusty and easily worn out at the hole.

Go with the simple proven and comfortable

I actually have it with all three variations. I bought it on bracelet and then bought the strap w. tang buckle. Lastly and most recently I bought it with deployment and strap. It hasn't gone on the bracelet or strap w. tang buckle ever since. However, I do know there was a price increase (for the US at least) and I believe the new MSRP for strap and deployment is much closer to 635 after tax.

I personally liked the tang the best, and the bracelet the least of the 3 options.

If your wrist is smaller, the tang and buckle option has a long strap so there is extra rubber that is visible. I hate that so I went with the deployant.

Omega deployant clasps are fabulous. I have 2 Planet Oceans with the deployant and they are so much better than the traditional tang buckle.

I purchased on bracelet, but the bracelet get quite heavy over the course of the day. I am planning on picking up the rubber strap soon.

Regarding the deployment, some people say that it may not be as secure when diving or swimming which doesn't make sense since it's a twin trigger release and is indeed quite secure IMO.

Highly recommend the oem rubber with the tang buckle. I was just body surfing with it on during my trip down to Laguna Beach and it was on securely.

Anyone contemplating this might want to consider putting an aftermarket deployant clasp on the original rubber strap. This is what I did. Although the OEM deployant is nice, I don't like how the strap is tucked underneath as it moves around and makes the strap a little on the bulky side. This particular deployant is from Long Island Watch.

I have the 300m white on OEM rubber. It’s perfect as in to me. Wouldn’t change a thing
