I just replaced my datejust with a 77 era 1680 submariner. Love the watch and think it was gently used as I got it in the original box with tags and so on. What should I have done to it above the regular maintenance?

So that is the white 1680, not the red 1680

Any photos? I had a white 1680 and I regret having sold it now

Keep everything original, meaning do not change the dial & hands. The crown, tube & crystal are OK to change IMO. I would also pass on the polish. Congrats on the Sub!

Looks pretty sweet from what I can tell from the pic. As Scott said, service, crystal, crown and tube. Them enjoy a great reference.
