Rolex 1665 and 1680 red mfg years
Hi all new here at the forum and hope to become a long time participant.
I am recently fascinated by rolex 1665 and 1680 red. And do plan to look to purchase one of each. I do need help to on mfg year for 1665. I have read some reviews that the last manufacturing date was 1978 but I see ones with original paper shows sold in 1981 which I think is fine. But the serial number indicates 1979.. could it be fake? Also, how do you tell if the engraving is fake? Thanks! |

The serial number dates are not set in stone and are by no means exact....You will even see slight variations in serial number dating depending on what website you look at!
