Trade USED Blue Dial SkyD on Oyster+17k for BNIB Black OF Daytona 126519LN
Yay or nay?
Current line up that’s getting wrist time: 1. OF YG Daytona Champagne Dial w/ black sub dials. 2. Blue SkyD on Oyster 3. Hulk 4. Panda 116500 I have a 126710 BLRO that was gifted to me that I haven’t worn yet. Waiting to wear that on my wedding day. Very tempted to trade. I love Oysterflex. I love the casual aspect of it. But the blue sky is great to have as a collectors piece. I love the complication & it does look great on my wrist. Thoughts? |

Is this a serious question? Sky Dweller plus 17k? Are you kidding me?

Isn't that about right based on MSRP? The Daytona is PM on oysterflex after all. However, based on what you have I wouldn't do the trade. You already have 2 Daytona's one being PM on oysterflex and the other SS. The blue sky dweller is a nice change. If you want a different Daytona trade the yellow gold on oysterflex.

Nope! Bad idea, and sounds like your heart really isn’t in it. If you want a different Daytona, trade the one you have, for one you like better.

Depends on what you want?
As for the money? $17k to some is life changing $$$...to others it's insignificant...so that's up to you and your situation. As for the trade, I wouldn't. Don't care for Oysterflex. |

Getting rid of a Blue Sky D is a massive no from me!

Strictly in terms of value it is a very fair deal.

Given your current collection…..I personally wouldn’t make the trade.
Sounds like you really like the SkD, + you have the two Daytonas already. I’d keep the variety. |

On the money alone, it's probably OK, but there's no way I'd personally trade a Sky Dweller on the Oyster (which is the best bracelet combo for the Sky-D IMO) for YET ANOTHER Daytona on rubber.
If I didn't have a Daytona (and really wanted one of course), then that's a different story, but I can't see the appeal of losing the variety. JMO.

Nay. I would rather have what the Sky brings to the table as opposed to having 2 OF Daytona's. (If I'm understanding you correctly)
But, I would definitely support a trade of one Daytona for the other. |

Not something I'd do since you already have a PM Daytona and a SS Daytona. The SkyD is probably the most complicated Rolex watch (other than maybe the Yachtmaster II which is fugly). I think it's something to keep in the collection. I have a YG Daytona on OF and a SkyD myself. Working on adding the SS Daytona. Not sure I'd wear a WG version if I had a SS version. Pretty close match. You might consider trading the SS if you want WG.
Also, I wouldn't trade for a new model now--I'd wait a few months until the pricing settles back down. |

I’ve decided not to trade the blue sky.
I also failed to mention I’ve been sitting in a BNIB green OP41. I am trading that at cost + cash to cover the Daytona at retail. I’d call that a win. There’s no way I’m trading my hulk. |

I would not do that trade! You already have two Daytonas including an OF. Keep the SkyD!

You have 2 awesome Daytona's, I would not do this deal and this is coming from someone who owns the 116519 which is beautiful. You need to keep some variety.
