FS: 1968 Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.022-68

Hi,

I'm pleased to offer a very handsome Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.022-68.

This transitional reference is the first Speedmaster to use the 861 movement while retaining the long indices and applied metal logo of the earlier 321's.

This one is in very good condition, and was serviced in June of this year. During service the watch received new crown, crystal and pushers, all genuine Omega parts. Other than that, all parts original and correct. No refinishing was done, as my watchmaker felt the case to be untouched.

CASE & CASEBACK:
Overall very good condition, showing sharp lines and light wear commensurate to age. Crisp hippocampus on back and a hand engraving on the back of the 11 o'clock lug. DON bezel is in beautiful condition with a slight navy blue hue in some lights.

DIAL & HANDS:
Silky black step dial with wonderful depth and definition across different lights. Indices appear bright white with a touch of pale yellow. Hands match well and show only some minor lume loss.

MOVEMENT:
Calibre 861 serviced June 2023, keeps great time and chronograph starts, stops and resets properly. Occasionally the hour register hand will creep ever so slightly past 12 clockwise, but resets when chrono is reset. Serial number is within correct range for -68

BRACELET:
Omega 1039 with 516 endlinks. Minimal stretch, very good condition. Clasp is stamped for the 3rd quarter of 1969.

ACCESSORIES:
Service receipts and original parts replaced during service. No paper extract, but I do have the digital copy shown here with production on December 26th, 1968 and delivery to the USA.

$10,300 shipped

Wire only, plenty of references.

Thanks,
-GW
