I did see one obvious fake, couldn't believe the guy would wear that thing around with no shame.

Great thread!

I only go to Vegas one per year; it's for a (tactical) convention. I generally do not wear one of my Rolex watches there. Though they (and certainly clones) are aplenty in Vegas, I'm at the sheeoting range one day and at the convention the days thereafter wearing cargo pants. My go-to for the past few years has been a 44mm "Large Titanium GMT Watch by Maratac®" on the obligatory NATO.

While there are Rolexes roam the wild at the convention I attend, G-Shocks rule the roost for most attendees.

Sounds like fun OP! Best Rolex spotting I've ever encountered was in Milan. Rolex was seemingly the most popular watch period (much like Apple watch is most common everywhere else.)

Models I've hardly seen in public:
- BLNR maybe 1-2x
- White ceramic Daytona 1x

Only at the AD:
- Ceramic pepsi

Never seen in any context:
- Black ceramic Daytona
- Platinum Daytona

Also just returned from Vegas and interesting how aggressive some of the tourists are in demanding the boutiques in selling them a reference. (Usually a Daytona, GMT, or SkyD).

In particular the employees at WoS seem to get it the worst from Wynn customers saying it’s false advertisement to display exhibition pieces without having them available or just being rude stating go talk to my casino host. Yikes.

Tudor though was fully stocked at many of the boutiques particularly at the Forum shops with the FXDs, BB54s, and BB 41 with red bezel/jubilee bracelet all for sale. Rolex Boutique at the forum had a SkyD white gold on OF for sale, along with a couple smaller DJs.

With that said, Rolexes abound everywhere. Hardly any PP, ALS, VC, with a few RO and Omega SMPs sprinkled in. Hot spots in particular are either the Cosmo/Aria or Wynn/Venetian. Then again unless they’re sitting next to be at the tables, bar, or a common area it’s though to 100% know they aren’t a fugazi.

Was a super crowded weekend with the Utah/Northwestern game, and Bruno Mars both running Saturday night.

Interesting as you are the second person in this thread to mention the rarity of seeing a BLNR in public. I wonder if (like the Speedmaster) the popularity of these watches with enthusiasts is much greater than with the general public.

I only witnessed that once, also at the Wynn, at the Omega Boutique. A really fancily dressed guy was almost throwing a childlike tantrum saying it was ridiculous that he was leaving the country the next day and couldn't find/buy the watch he wanted.

After he left I asked what watch he was looking for and it was the red dial Aqua Terra, I had no idea those were highly sought after.

FWIW that specific Omega Boutique also had the friendliest/nicest SAs I dealt with during my trip.

And TBF the crappy behavior could go both ways. The SAs at the Rolex stores at the Wynn and Crystals were a bit standoffish and even totally ignored me on one visit.

I had a pretty solid experience at the huge connected watch store in the Palazzo that has VC, Cartier, ALS etc. And also very friendly service at the watch store in the Venetian that carries a ton of brands (Omega, Tudor, etc). Horologie I think.

Also had a terrific experience with Ben Kelly at the Omega Boutique @ Bellagio. He took the time to explain to me the gradient differences and ideas based on depth rating on their 75th anniversary dials.

Agreed on bi-directional crappy behavior. Mine came from the PP Boutique at the Crystals mall. Ironically its managed by the same group that also owns Horologie (fantastic shop) and the boutiques downstairs where there is the ALS/VC/Panerai/IWC stores you mentioned.
