Put name down at multiple boutiques?

I often travel to cities with AP boutiques so I was just wondering if it’s common practice to put your name down at multiple boutiques when trying to acquire your first piece.

Thanks and merry Christmas everyone!

My experience has been that they want you working with one boutique. Typically you will be assigned a SA who you will exclusively work with and AP will not assign you multiple SAs/let you work with multiple boutiques.

My suggestion would be to pick the one you travel to the most.

I would pick one boutique and establish one relationship. They want you working with one SA. You won't get very far trying to use multiple boutiques.

Appreciate the quick replies! I’m still learning more about AP as I’m new to the brand but the experience seems to be more personal with less games compared to other brands. Looking forward to getting my journey started!

Have to tread carefully but when entering the brand nothing forbidding you from trying to establish relationships with several locations. When you feel like you have found a good SA and trust them to deliver you a piece then maintain that contact. And once you are an existing client then stick to one location.

I agree with this. Note that the CRM system is all connected, so if you go to a different boutique to try and establish a relationship they can see that you already opened a profile with another location.

Your best bet is to be open and honest if you’re trying to start a relationship with a different boutique - let them know you tried talking to other boutiques, why you want to switch, etc. And yes, once you successfully obtain a piece then stick with that location. Good luck!

As was said before, they share the same CRM worldwide, and they do actually check, so (at best) it's not going to help for popular pieces.

I was registered with Harrods in 2019 and a year later had a feeling nothing was going to happen so after an introduction here, I switched to AP House and it was implied that in essence that I needed to be registered IHT one or the other, not both.

As I said ‘implied’ not told but I have found that they look after you long term and it makes sense to go with their flow :-)
