I wouldn't touch a passed down watch. At the same time I wouldn't pass the open work opportunity from them, so I would get a normal sub and do it.

Artisan de Genève is not related to Rolex by any means. They start from real authentic Rolex and then use aftermarket / fake parts to transform the watch. |

I wouldn't personally do it. As others suggested, swap the dial for black and that will tone it down a bit.

Experience was good. Timeframe initially quoted was 6 months and ran another month long. They use a third party company to do customs paperwork on both sending and receiving and it’s pretty seamless. Communication was good and replied within 24hrs. End product and packaging is gorgeous. I chose that particular “challenge” because I loved the story, uniqueness and look of the timepiece. It came back spectacular. Easily one of my favorites in my collection. I will say, while bespoke and extremely unique, that I think it is incredibly overpriced. Would I do it again? probably not - price being the limiting factor. When taking into consideration the market value cost of your Rolex and the mod- on my blnr, it’s hitting the $40k price point.

OP I'd keep the watch as it is, to preserve it's sentimental value. I do like some of the ADG watches, the Pirlo one is nice, but the render you previously shared doesn't look great in my opinion.

Agree! Have it serviced, maybe lightly polished by RSC, and wear it, when you want to think about your Dad, even if it’s only occasionally. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

All 3 companies, correct. They partnered along the way with the racing divisions. The homologation rules are what forced the manufacturers to bring to market, or they may never have existed. Later to be purchased by the company they based their work on.
