I have a 124060 that I bought in spring of 2021 and it was keeping perfect time (maybe +1-2spd) probably up to 6m-1y ago when I noticed it all of a sudden started to lose time. I have used Watchtracker and it appears to, as of this week, be -10spd. I am disappointed, but I am not sure if I will send to RSC immediately or just wait it out a while longer... it seems like they "fix" it but the problem may recur.

32xx movement problem poll and data thread
Can you do some measurements along the power reserve, i.e., after full winding at t = 0 and then every 12 hours? Interesting to see what the isochronism of a 32xx caliber with (very) negative rates is. Read #4708 for description of caliber isochronism.

I guess -10 is a bit too far off, the watch is basically out of COSC spec, forget about -2/+2... |

Likely, latest 24 hours after full winding the 3 vertical amplitudes are below 200 degrees, which is outside Rolex specs.

You did not understand what I posted in #4723. For a movement with an average rate of -10 s/d the amplitude is NOT lower than what is to be expected. One does expect a low 32xx amplitude for such a negative rate (after full winding).

What are the amplitudes and rates measured 24 hours after full winding? Good luck. |

Just an update. New watch, running fine. Had a series of trades that involved an outgoing LV to one dealer for a straight trade and an incoming LV from another dealer for a 3 to one straight trade. Very convoluted, but it worked out just the way I wanted. So, I now have a January 2024 dated, unworned LV. Here is how it starts life in the Easy Box.

On on full wind on the Weishi, face up, it would show -5 or 6. |

Did you set the watch before the first timegrapher measurement? At what time exactly did you take the two measurements on 08.02. and 09.02.? ![]() |

Yes, I did set it. Both sets were taken at 10am(started) - the timegrapher is at my office currently.

Honestly, I have a bad feeling about these 32xx movements in terms of long-term longevity. You know how we see watches from 30-40 years ago? I don't see how that is going to be possible with 32xx movements if Rolex doesn't find a permanent fix and warranty their faulty movements.

what do you think, is this issue caused by design and cannot be fixed easily or by production and may be fixed by changing the assembly process?

That's my opinion, yes. Why else would they have not found a fix yet? I bet this issue will be forgotten when the next generation of movements is released and I bet that the next generation comes sooner rather than later due to this issue.

Or they know the fix but already made 10 million of these movements and won't spend profit preemptively fixing something few will notice.

I'm looking forward to some interesting timegrapher data (along the PR) from:
- Endoscopist: 124060 (spring 2021) - Easy E: 126710BLNR (07/2019) - Easy E: 126610LV (01/2024) |
