The Daytona is much prettier, no way I’d change it for an AP

Posting this in the Rolex section will get you votes for the Daytona whereas if you post in AP section would be other way around.
Go for whichever you like better, the trade sounds ok-ish, probably try for straight swap. My vote is ROC as I don’t like Daytona, too much text on an already cluttered dial. And no date! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

So you want to trade your beautiful Daytona plus 5 grand, for that unattractive AP chromo, just so you can have one of “the big 3”? Well, let’s just say that I wouldn’t do it.

I'm not a Crono guy but aesthetically the Rolex wins for me.

I have that AP and would have no problem recommending the trade.

Of my 6 watches, 5 are Rolex and 1 AP. The AP is on an another level in terms of fit and finish. With that being said, it’s also not as durable. I would make the trade as I think that AP is beautiful
I’ve made the mistake of getting rid of watches and then having to re-acquire. That gets pricey. Keep us posted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You picked two of the most beautiful watches out there, around that price point. Anyone bashing either watch does not know what they are talking about. Both watches have a similar color scheme but are very different in execution.
That Daytona on oysterflex is supremely comfortable and sporty/classy in that configuration and is much better for a daily wear. The AP panda is gorgeous and like all AP's needs to be seen in person to appreciate how special it is. That being said, it is much more likely to get scuffed up if worn as a daily. But in high horology circles it would hold it's own much better then the more common Daytona. So it really depends on what else you have in your collection and how often you plan on wearing the watch. Be honest with yourself and try not to get infatuated in new watch excitement. If it's going to be one of your main watches in rotation then I would keep your Daytona. If you have a bunch of other watches and you're looking for a special occasion watch than the AP is very special. |

I love both Rolex and AP. Actually OF Daytona and 26331ST are just about the same price in secondary market. You need to add some cash because the dealer needs to make some money. Both are gorgeous timepieces, it depends on your personal preference, so if the trade make you happier, go for it.

you probably asked in the wrong forum! but the Daytona is way more beautiful
if you like the AP better then go for it but could you keep both ? the AP will be heavier If it is a bracelet issue, then perhaps buy a bracelet for the Daytona |

That’s pretty much my favourite Rolex and I don’t rate that AP so I think you’d be mad to switch. I wouldn’t switch if you paid me £5k.

There’s no way I will agree to such trade, I won’t even consider it.

At that price point, a display caseback and in house movement are must haves for me.
I’d go for a 3-hander RO instead. |

No trade for me. Daytona wins in my book. Never cared for AP, think they are ugly.

I’ve owned the AP in stainless and gold. Went right back to the Daytona for Chrono.
