Any thoughts on 5172G blue dial?

Any thoughts from owners and non-owners alike?

I personally prefer the 5170 series, especially the 5170p. I don't like the pump pushers on the 5172. That's just me..

I love it - great pick up grey for around 60k or relationship/ bundle piece at AD.

Slight preference for salmon but blue is awesome too.

5170 dressier imo but also great with breguet numerals as an alternative.

A really clean dial, however what ties it together is the bracelet that you usually see with it. Those type of blue dials are also always easy to style

Amazing watch and the 'three step' lugs are a true piece of art IMHO. It is also very under the radar and versatile as it works very well with jeans but also with a suit (certainly with a croco strap).

I'm not an owner but held it several times. I find it's a very appealing chronograph I considered for myself in the past. It's a perfect combination of casual and traditional. It has the gorgeous 29-535 caliber which is something not only for Patek but watchmaking more generally. The case is another example of why Patek makes a difference. The overall blue dial and white markings is well balanced imho (you can find a review here if you like https://www.hightime-reviews.com/pat...-and-pictures/).

Very nice project to consider one.

I also prefer the 5170 series over the 5172 series. Better size and more traditional looks.

I too prefer the 5170, for similar reasons, size, proportions, elegance, variation in dials and metals. I actually prefer no tachymeter on the dial, like the series 1 5270g and latest 5270p

5172 just like the 5320 are both exceptional, modern, larger Pateks and in the case of the 5172 love the use of the tasti tondi pushers. Unbeatable if that's what you like. 5320 especially is a very compelling PC with cream lacquered dial.

I have 18cm wrist and it is not big on me. I think if you have 16.5cm or larger wrist. It should be okay. The watch is thin so it helps with the wearability.

Love the look of the 5272g blue dial, but out of my price range.

I personally don't care for syringe hands or I'd own it...I like it better than the 5170 tho...but if I was getting one it would be a 5070
