The joys of white gold

I noticed this boo boo on my Aquanaut. Anyone have any ideas on how to address this?

Accept it and move on. There will be more. At a service Patek can polish the watch, if you want.

Agree 100%. If you just can't stand it I wouldn't let anyone touch it other than Henri Stern Watch Agency in Manhattan.

That’s what we watch fans call “character”. I would just wear and enjoy and if it really bothers you that much get a valet from Patek come service time. Always looks better with original case and bezel however for me.

Or you could put it on a pedestal and just admire it.

Just let it go for now. Address when it is service time. There will be others by then.

As you get older and your eyes get worse you’ll see the scratches less. I don’t see the marks on my 5168 at all anymore.

If you want to sell it that’s damaged goods, if you intend to keep it then it’s patina, added character.

that's the downside of gold, it's soft and will easily mark and scratch :(

Thanks all. It was inevitable but doesn't take away from my enjoyment!

I don't think ss would have fared any better...

It's now patina and well loved.

One of many... You can polish it at the service center one day when it's not running well

Remind yourself that this was bound to happen and move on.

Scratch #1 sucks. Scratches #2 through #1,000 are character!

Don't bother polishing them out. You'll start to alter the original architecture of the case, and the scratches will only come back after.
