My first perpetual calendar

Really happy to add this 5496p just in the time for the 29th of February!

It is my first perpetual calendar and the third Patek in my collection (the others being a 5960p and a 3998g).

The honey brown dial is really attractive and the 39.5mm case with the slim profile makes the watch wearable in formal and informal situations.

I’ll buy more straps, which colors do you think will match it better?

Thanks

Patek makes a honey-colored alligator strap which would look good. It was standard on the platinum 10-day toubilion, perhaps the 5101P from several years back.

Congrats, looking good!

The dial color reminds me of the salmon Chopard LUC 1860. They paired it with a medium grey calf strap.

Beautiful piece, congratulations!

Love how that dial changes its appearance dependant on light and angle.

Excellent choice! It's a beautiful version of the 5496. If I remember well, there is a similar dial offer in the 5207 (I never saw it in the metal).

It's hard to find accurately a similar tone because you might notice even the slightest difference in the end. Hence, I would tend to go the contrasting route.

The opposite color and matching color is the blue. One could explore that way.

A grey strap would lead to a unique result (with a touch of blue inside the color).

As a bonus choice, I would enjoy (but that's just me) a black one. A white-ish color as well (not pure white though), mixed with a little touch of blue or camel color, may look nice.

As usual, Nato straps might rock :D

Enjoy it well!

The retrograde date is a nice complication on this often under-rated but fabulous PC. Enjoy

Thanks for the input!!

I was thinking a navy blue might suit it well! Maybe go all in and try a red one also… who knows. At least it will match the tip of the date hand

I didn’t know I needed this reference with this dial in my collection until I saw yours, well done OP and many congrats on a beautiful timepiece.
I adore the honey gold dial on this so much character and rare charm classic elegance - everything Patek is all about.
