I put my name down for a Sky-Dweller

I visited my local Rolex AD today and told my SA to put my name down on the waiting list for a blue Sky-Dweller on a jubilee bracelet. How long do you guys think it will take before I get the call?

Wish me luck nonetheless, and let the wait begin!

Great watch, once of the greatest Rolex offers.
As for waiting, it depends on the specific dealer "list" and dealership size.

If his list is short, you may be to on his list,
However, the mothership to send them often to every dealer, so he may get one once every 2-3-4 month. That will dictate "the call"...

Another one of these threads, sigh. No-one knows how long it will take you at your AD that we do not know.

Amazing watch though, i have it in white.

Best of luck!! Timing is very up in the air. Purchase history and relationship will be big factors for this one. Spent $1m+ on jewelry or married the owner’s daughter? 3 months or less. First request with no spend? Never.

You’ll likely find yourself somewhere in between lol. Good luck on the journey man! The chase is part of the fun (for me at least)

6 months with a relatively small purchase history, but the boutique was willing to take care of me.

A long, long time. One of the hardest pieces to obtain in the Rolex catalogue.

As people say, could be a month, could be never. So many variables, including your status with the AD, location of Ad, your spend level, relationship level etc.

Also if you’ll take a steel and gold? Or just the stainless steel version? Will you accept a white or black, or just blue?

If you just want blue and you have small spend history, you honestly may never get the call.

Well at least you’re optimistic, I’ll give you that. Judging from your post history you only ever bought one SS sub from your AD, and you’re asking for probably the third hardest Rolex to get from an AD after the SS Daytona and SS Pepsi.

They had the white one on display as well when I went. It's really nice as well, but I liked the blue one better because it was easier to read. My eyes aren't as great as they once were.

I was kind of expecting that, but decided to take a chance anyway

I was very specific with my SA. I told him I am only interested in the SS model with the blue dial with the jubilee bracelet. The white dial was nice but not as easy to read, and the green dial looked a little muted to me. The blue dial paired with the jubilee is an absolute stunner.

One previous purchase. I was able to buy a Submariner on my first ever visit to this AD last year.

I told my SA I understood how sought after this model was, and I'm aware of the long wait times. He said he'd work on it, and I thanked him for that.

Impossible to predict. I got mine in six months. If I had to wait six years it would have been worth it.

Hopefully you'll wait a lot less than six years. Good luck with it.

I'm more flexible in my thinking but when it comes to the used market price for the blue Sky Dweller there's no way I would go there.

A little over 2 years for mine with a long standing relationship and good spend history with my AD. It’s worth the wait!

I love the watch.

It was my first Rolex around this time last year. It gets less wrist time than it deserves, but I have been wearing it to the office lately/more frequently.

It was no question for me. Blue Dial + Jubilee. I am not a two-tone fan. However, I could not wait for the AD for mine. I hope you get it quickly.

I always thought it was too dressy for my casual style, but I’m really starting to consider it also.

It’s not really dressy because it’s really big. Also on Oyster it has a much sportier look.

It really depends on whether you have a good relationship with the AD. If you do, you’ll get it eventually. If you just walked in off the street and that’s what you want for your first purchase, the difficulty will be that there is a long list of preexisting customers who want that watch and they’ll fill all those folks’ orders first (and that list will just keep growing as people come in and buy stuff and then ask for a SkyD). If you leave a big impression, some people can skip that process, but it’s very hard.
