GMT Master II 12671X Bezel Ring

Wearing my 126710 BLRO as I write this. Was wondering if the GMT MASTER II 12671X series of watches have different Bezel Rings (The metal part that encases the Ceramic Insert).

I’ve read accounts of the 12710BLRO having a slightly different bezel ring but I’ve been unable the tell the difference when comparing to say a 12710BLNR, 126711CHNR or 126720VTNR.

Also, should one ever ding the metal bezel ring on say a 126710BLRO Pepsi, would the ring along be replaceable or does the ceramic insert have to be changed as well since I’ve read accounts of them cracking easily upon removal?

What’s the process like?
