1675 Pepsi GMT opinions

A friend of mine purchased a “1972” Rolex 1675 Pepsi GMT with a jubilee band…..and now wants to sell it…..he has taken in for servicing so I only have limited pictures from the jeweler that is doing the service…
Serial number is 2985xxx
I would value opinions on the pictures that I have…

Interesting selection of pictures to present for opinions. A small assortment of parts, mostly service. Not sure what's really going on here.

I have not seen the watch yet….and don’t have access to it….the owner sent me these pictures from the jeweler that is servicing the watch…it is apparently disassembled at this point…
I hopefully will have more pictures soon…

Surely you realize that the insert and dial are service parts (the hands are almost certainly also service parts) and the watch therefore has lost its collectible interest regardless of anything else you show us. Maybe you can give us a little more context. What are you looking for and hoping to learn?

1675

Just trying to help a friend…
I do have a 1675, 16750 and 16710 Pepsi…all original…and I suspected that his watch was a franken watch with service parts….I was trying to be certain and ask an expert like you…

I do appreciate your kind response….
Thanks for your confirmation…

It appears to be a service watch not within the realm of what is considered a "franken watch." The dial appears to be luminoval which probably has luminova hands to match.

Without seeing more photos, to include the case condition, it is not possible to price the watch properly.

What do you think would be a good price…I know it’s a guess without pictures of the Cade….

I have not usually seen "service" 1675s selling for that much, but that's not to say someone might not pay it.

I agree. Closer to $9,000, maybe a little more, for a very nice example.
