16610LN - in which years was the “flat four” bezel used?

Hey there!
Can anyone tell me during which time frame the “flat four” bezel was used on the 16610LN?

I recently bought a 2002 (Y94..) submariner in mint condition - except for the pearl, which had a crack - as I realized when the watch was delivered. Long story short, I contacted the dealer, he offered to replace the bezel, I picked the watch up again yesterday and realized soon after that the pearl of the replacement bezel has absolutely zero lume, contrary to the hands and dial and the original (cracked) pearl.

And today I noticed that it’s a flat four bezel. If I’m not mistaken, they had this in the early nineties, but I was wondering if it was only used on tritium models (which would explain why the doesn’t glow at all). I looked it up in Mondani‘s book, but although the “flat four” bezel is mentioned on a 1992 model (he calls it “fat four”), he doesn’t specify in which years it was used.
Thank you in advance!
