Michael Young - service for repair recommandation

Hello everyone,

I already read many threads about MK,

I bought not too long ago my first rolex and it needs some repairs from bracelet to the head.

I ask MK for quotation of price and I m happily ready to send my rolex oyster air king from 70s there.
(Especially when the rolex service only proposal was to change every part ... where would be the vintage then)

But I would like to know if I should ask for a paper from MK before sending it ?

Best regards to you all,

And warm welcome to TRF

I dealt with Michael Young in 2016 and I can confirm his work was excellent although I only shipped him a bracelet.

Thank you for all these answers.

But should I just send the watch without signing any papers between MK and myself ? That feel foreign to me that s why I ask...

No need for signing any papers etc. I shipped a 20 year-old Oyster bracelet to him from New Zealand last year and the restoration work was nothing short of amazing. It took around 6 weeks from receipt to return to me via FedEx. Communication was great throughout. Deal with confidence!

He restored my wife's 35 year old gold bracelet @ 4 years ago. The workmanship was flawless. Turnaround was a little less than 2 months from shipping to receipt. You can assume customer status with confidence.

Deal with Michael in confidence - he’s the best and his work, as others have said, is absolutely top notch.

Sending your watch outside the EU might get you in trouble with customs upon its return when they may charge you VAT and duties.

Surely there are some much closer at home providing similar service
