Daytona 116500LN adding 2.5 hrs a day

All of a sudden my watch started adding 2-3 hrs a day , anyone has faced this before with Daytona ? It’s less than 2 years old and this happens just recently

Sounds like you need to get it demagnetized.

Very very strange has the watch been dropped or took a hard knock?. Because something like that could cause the hairspring to get out of sync with the escapement.I would give your watch a full manual wind 40 full crown turns clockwise only, set time with reliable time source. Then check time after 24 hours,if still the same then it's off to the RSC.

Yep this^^^

I might let it run done to compete stop and then give it a full wind just to see where things are at

I'd take it an AD and ask them to demagnetize it if you do not have a demagnetizer. The are very cheap btw. But the AD will do it for free. If that doesnt solve the issue, send it in and it should be taken care of under warranty.

Well seeing the Daytona was the first Rolex watch to get the parachrome hairspring way back in 2000 but back then it was more of a grey colour. And when watches do get magnetised its the hairspring that's mainly effected. And Rolex states it cannot be magnetised, plus when a watch is magnetised yes they do speed up, and run very very erratic or even stop and refuse to start so doubt if its magnetised.

It’s the strangest thing—I let the watch fully drain, then gave it a full wind, and now it’s running like a champ. I sent it to RSC, and they tested it on the 6-position machine. All results showed excellent accuracy, with less than 1 second variation in all positions. They told me there was no need to open it up.

I have no idea what could have triggered the issue in the first place
