Good point. Though I believe the 3235 is here to last and Rolex will gradually upgrade it during service.
For "old movements" i already have my 16570 with a 3186

Keep your watch. It's a timeless classic.

Not a chance.

The 116500 is the 1st modern SS daytona with a ceramic bezel.
It will be the more collectible watch in the future.

Newer is not always better.

I have 5 digit, 11 series, and 12 series subs now. For me (6.75 in wrist) the 11 series is wearable, but not as well as either of the other 2. The 12 series 21m bracelet with matching wider clasp is not a concern for me - in fact, it sits pretty stable on my wrist given the weight of the watch (not so with the 11 series - again for me). The 5 digit has great proportions too, just a tad smaller (and lighter) vs the 12 series. I mostly wear the 12 series these days, but do give the 5 series wrist time on occasion (11 series is inthe safe for now).

I own both 114060 and 124060.

From 2 feet away, visually I can’t tell the difference. On the wrist they wear about the same.

The only real difference I can tell is the clasp. I prefer the size of the 114060.

12 for me… 11 “chonker” case lugs just don’t do it for me.

I would do it. I actually prefer the 11 series subs. I actually traded my 1226613 bluesy back to a 116613lb that I previously had, and I'm glad I did it.

I prefer the 11 for a similar reason.

Some people don't get along with the case of the 11 series, but this has never bothered me. I compared with a friends 12 series side by side, and was not keen on the wider bracelet and bigger clasp.

I much prefer the 11 series, so the trade would be no-brainer for me.

I prefer the 11 series, too, I have the blnr and am on the hunt for a sub. I love the beefy, muscular look for me. They all look great, however, in my eyes, I just really like the 11 series more.
