At retail: I’ll take a steel daytona please. Black or white will do me just fine. |

Summer 2024 - What’s the Best Value in Rolex Today?
On preowned market?
Most precious metal Rolex (except Daytonas) White/Black dial (non GV) Milgauss. White/Black 5 digit Exp II Any Rolex under 36mm But realistically. The days of Rolex propositioned as good value buys are long gone. Especially since entry level luxury production quality has improved significantly |

for preowned, i can't see anything beating a 5 digit day date. 16-17k gets you one in mint condition today which is insane for a full gold rolex that looks identical to the ones retailing for almost 40k today

I think a 5 digit Sub, Sub Date and Polar Explorer 2 are all great value at the minute.

Agree with 5-digit being best value.
TT even better than SS for some models. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I know some here don't like too many flip answers but I'm invested in Stocks, Bonds and commercial real estate. I merely wear watches I have collected...the values of which are inconsequential...

Without a doubt this ^^. I sold one to fund a DD 40 and still miss the 18238. Thinking about selling the 40 and picking up the 5 digit again.

In sport watches, it's hard to beat the 16570 Explorer II for value. With the 3185's jump hour hand, the fixed bezel isn't a handicap it was with earlier versions, and market price is less than $10k for good examples. I rarely use the rotating bezel on my GMT II except for timing parking meter expiration.

Also Agree that YM's are a great deal. A terrific looking watch. If the dial said "Commander" rather than "Yachtmaster" they'd probably sell better. |
