So that was his graduation gift, a matching set of tank musts (poor me having to get a new watch).

When I was at the AD I saw that rose gold. Tried it in. Was smitten. But couldn’t get it as had to go matching must for my son and this memorable event in our lives if his hard earned degree. But man…I have won’t this tank daily and it is amazing. But all I think about now is how much I want the rose gold knowing how comfortable this must is…and looks amazing on my 7.5 inch wrist…pics of the new watches attached.

I don’t know if I will be able to restrain myself and not add the rose gold. Just struggling with having 2 tanks! But when it comes to watches, my brain has no logical reasoning.
Thanks for sharing! Great story.

I am actually considering the tank must, because why not at the great price point. Absolutely love the LC!

Thank you all who have wished me well, you guys are the best and why I love this forum.

Absolutely love the Tank Louis in RG! It's been one of my favorites for over 40 years.... and the Daytona, Holy Cow!!! You have a wonderful and thoughtful AD. Haven't experienced that kind of respect and treatment from an AD in my neck of the woods in longer than I can remember. Congratulations and enjoy!!

It’s a great watch. Have been wearing the tank LC and honestly I feel it gets more stares than any Rolex I’ve worn! Not sure if that’s good or bad but an observation nonetheless.

Thanks all!

Enjoy!
Congrats x3!!! Very happy for you, and both watches look fantastic! I agree with the statement above, continued validation of how much AD inventory exists in AD safes for "hard to get" watches.

Thank you! They have inventory but it’s always marked for someone who waited and spent, so not really for sale.

Congrats, from your Cartier photo I see you have a little one (or little ones). That Tank will be an heirloom should you choose to keep it that long. Either a boy or a girl would cherish it.

Congrats on the original Daytona 500. I had been waiting for one from the day they were shown in Basel. With my spend level the owner told me it could take a lifetime. Wellll...

It has - their lifetime - Rolex cancelled their AD status earlier this year...

I hope you enjoy both of your new ones. Just curious, what is the model # of the Cartier?

Good eye! Yes I have 2 little ones actually, both girls! One is 2 and one is 6. My 6 year old already loves watches and said she wants all my watches. I told her she has to share with her sister, she wasn’t happy. 😃

The Cartier is model number WGTA0011. I can’t take it off. It’s really a great piece.

I’m so sorry to hear about the Daytona and your AD. That’s horrible. I hope someday soon you can find one that works for you. In all honesty, I have decent spend sure. But I’m also in Boston where people have far more spend I’m sure. I think I made the cut, per say, but my relationship with SA helped a lot I am betting.
