Adjusting a leather strap on a 116518
Hi all.
I can’t seem to find a single video online about how to adjust a leather strap on a Daytona 116518. It’s currently too big for my wrist and was told it’s fairly easy to do. Any pointers would help. Thx |

Typically, for adjustment you need to go down and buy either a shorter or longer half, refit it, and enjoy.

Thanks. But how do I move the strap along the clasp on the one I’ve got?

Some cannot be adjusted. You adjust the fit by replacing the strap half that is either shorter or longer than the one you have. Others have a couple of micro-adjustment holes inside the clasp where you can move the end-strap spring bar a few mm each way. The latest have the Glide-lock clasp where you actually shorten or lengthen the clasp for a best fit.

Move the pins along the holes in the clasp and/or buy a shorter strap. I don’t think you can buy a half strap since each leather strap has some variance in leather grain, texture, finish and color.

Though many use a tooth-pick to avoid scratching any metal surfaces. |

You can use the internal bar of the clasp to get a better fit, if that does not work you need a new strap. RSC can provide, or many aftermarket options
