Not a fan of laser welding. As I’ve noted previously, most examples show differences in the base metal transition to the filler. And rarely do the areas filled look totally correct to my eye. The RSC work is really good however.

Personally, I’d rather just live with dings and bangs and if the damage is severe, to replace the case or bracelet as indicated.

Yes I have. We emailed back and forth a few times. He seemed to think the work was fine. I don't agree, hence why I asked the forum here about an honest opinion of the work. He did mention more work can be done, but it would be a big job(about 3 hours) with additional fees. Or the other option was to rebuild the crown guards to the way they were for free. So basically making the watch look the way it was when I sent it to him, minus the money that I spent. Seems absurd to me.

A phone call may be a good idea.

I can't believe he saw this unevenness and thought it was OK.

The side by side pics were sent by Mike to me to try and convince me that the work is solid and the guards are not ground down. I saw it differently.

I had an issue with same place. Was expecting laser welding and only got polished. It looked of but not what I expecting for the price. It left a sour taste in my mouth and I ended up getting rid of that Daytona

Surely all key crown guard dimensions can be accurately measured with vernier calipers?

That’s what I be insisting on for any return to stock state.

If you are happy, that's what counts. I would be perfectly happy with the charm of the original crown guard shape.
This.

Hindsight is 20/20
I thought the work would of improved the case, but obviously it didn't.
