Got the Call UK AD

Out of no where got the call today offering me the Sub Date in either Black or Green Ceramic Bezel, I chose green.
I'm very happy to add the new LV to my old 50th Anniversary LV as I have been waiting since it was launched for one.

Is me (average Joe) getting the Call the new normal ? are lots of other guys getting watches offered to them ? Has the market changed now so we are back on the AD's radar ?

I'm grateful of the call but a bit puzzled after hearing ZERO from my AD for 3 years.

First of all - congrats! I am not surprised about Sub availability in current market, but to have Starbucks as an option is very interesting.
Yes the market is softening. I got PM Daytona call after 4 months wait and I didn't even express strong interest.

Awesome!

The fact is that the market has changed a lot, and many grey market quick-quid flippers are basically turning away things like stainless steel submariners right now because there are a lot of them on the market. It's a race to the bottom to try and flip for a profit, with most of them barely making a penny.

I have also noted there have been a lot of "incoming" posts in the last couple of weeks. Perhaps there's been a significant effort to push out quite a number of watches this quarter because I had heard from Fratello that they were told at W&W by Rolex that they were going to slow production down for the latter half of this year.

Congrats. I am also an “average Joe” that got the call last week.

I've just had a call for a green dial op41 which was unexpected. I think many are now passing as the markets softened and they're worried they won't see a quick profit!

Congratulations on the Submariner.
I’m a little confused about what’s happening in the market to be honest I’ve got a good relationship with my AD 4 Rolex’s in 2 years and they are great guys and I really appreciate what they have got for me but for context I’ve just picked up a submariner date after 18 months wait and I love it but I really really wanted the green but was told that was a no go and was also told it’s not possible at the moment to go on the list for a GMT which I thought was a little strange so I’m really puzzled is the market getting easier or not

Same here managed to get mint green on jubilee 41 mm smooth bezel, 43mm sea dweller and the new 39mm Tudor black bay GMT. However, I am no where closer of either getting a date sub or the sprite GMT. Just waiting in hope.

Congratulations on a great watch. Sounds like you waited a very long time for it but all turned out well in the end

Congrats! I hope this average Joe with only a 30k AD spend gets offered a Sub or LV Sub. Been waiting almost a year.

Congratulations to both Explorer2polar and Mclark202. Hope this average guy gets to join you both at the LV party at some point.

Congratulations
I’m from UK and WOS still won’t take my interest despite spend history on JLC and kept my watches. Smaller chain AD’s say the same.
That is encouraging news.

That’s good to hear. Congratulations on the new submariner. I’m an average Joe too, I’ve known my local AD for many years. The market is changing/has changed, but the AD that is closest to me (geographically) remains an entirely disingenuous you know what.

Forget WoS Birmingham. Rude and stuck up.

Go and visit Goldsmiths in Merry Hill.
