Rolex 1601 Sigma Dial

Hi everyone,

I just purchased a 3.4 mil serial 1601 for which I posted a thread for the bracelet. I thought I might as well and go ahead and post the watch as well. The watch looks and feels good to me, but I just wanted to ask for advice on the “ROLEX” and “SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” scripts. I know Rolex doled out many iterations of the Datejust so wanted to check with you guys. The script on this one is slightly thicker than I am used to seeing. Thank you!

Dial is correct and genuine (albeit beat up) if that’s what you’re asking

Looks ok to me. Unfortunately, the dial has degraded around the lume plots. This will probably continue to worsen. I had a blue dial with the same problem, and ultimately I decided to sell it while I could still get something for it.

Yes it's legit...imho worse than the lume plots is the lifting around coronet and both E's on text on the ....dials, will as all said, worsen, but its not uncommon once it's atarted

If degradation was price was reflected, it's fine perhaps on a charcoal, they are a v nice hue dial.
