Y series Rolex

I have a Y series Rolex explorer 2. I cannot find the Rolex sketched on the crystal. Should it be there?

Some will have it and some will not. Both are correct. Rolex started slowly implementing LECs into their crystals in 2002.

Although it was from around 2001 Laser Etched Hologram In Crystal started but not on all models at the same time. So possible a Y serial might not have one but no big deal with or without LEC, but the LEC in general is very hard to find on some especially white dial watches .

If it's a white dial, the LEC can be very hard to see. Keep looking. Very closely.

Took me a while to find it on my Ex II as well. I found that natural sunlight made it appear a bit clearer.
