Thoughts on this 1665 DRSD?

Missed out on this one recently but wanted to get some overall thoughts on this DRSD? Seems these have come down a bit and in a price range I’m personally comfortable with.

Thanks as always!

Fine but not a great example in my opinion.

I just had Phillip Ridley work on my 1968 MKII - word of advice - run any DRSD by him or his father or another WIS that specializes in working on these, theres a very steep learning curve on these (not as bad as Daytonas) and before dropping DD40 money or more on one you want it checked out before you pull the trigger. Case needs to be opened to really examine the dial, see if case back matches the case and the bracelet needs to be scrutinized if seller is asking big bucks, the parts for these are expensive...

Regarding the watch in the pics - something weird is going on with the 2 and 4 hr markers (darker than the rest of the dial markers) could be that they were peeking out from a cuff and saw more sunlight but that watch doesnt look that used but I dont think there was any re-lume done (need a black light to confirm). Looks like a MKIV dial.

The 2 and 4 markers have a different patina than the others. Open it up and check for a partial serial inside the caseback.

What's the price? Looks like it is from tropical watch.

I just sold one of these a few months ago. Pricing for nice and correct examples seem to be selling from low $30,000 to high $30s. The more correct it is, besides being in decent condition. the higher the price.
