None of these, but if it's got to be one, then the cheapest: BLRO.

I would not take any of those watches. If I am in Italy, I do not want to be bogged down by stuff I have to watch out for and keep up with. Rather just have fun.

I've made this mistake before and I would constantly be worried about the watch I left behind hidden or stored.

If you call the places where you are staying and they offer a safety deposit box in the lobby, you'd be somewhat safer. I'd bring the DD.
This is where I would go. I acquired my most recent Rolex earlier this month while on travel and was not comfortable leaving either my old tool watch Rolex Sub or my new DJ41 in the hotel, or a locked rental car, etc. As an alternative my wife wore my Sub and I wore the new watch until we flew home.

Take one watch and wear it. A GMT given time zones would be my choice. Unnecessary stress trying to store / secure the second watch when not in use.

If one can’t wear a luxury watch on the Amalfi coast, one can’t wear it anywhere…

italy

i m born and raised in rome for decades brandrea and moved to usa

i know and i see things and situations americans and tourists from all over the world cannot even imagine they are going to happen
you can be lucky and wear a platona north to south in italy with no issue
but you could be less lucky and get robbed from 3 gorgeous gilrs asking you direction in one high end restaurant any wear in italy
let italians wear rolex, they are more prepared in worst situations

said that , make your choice
i know what to do
good luck

Tough call, but out of those choices I’d be inclined to go all Rolex, basically due to durability:

Pepsi GMT
PL DD40

Enjoy - beautiful part of the globe!

I would take a beater or as others have suggested buy a panerai and take a few straps to dress it up/down.

I wear a few beaters on vacation and actually enjoy the “don’t care” attitude. The beater category I take are my Panerai 111, Tudor Black Bay 58 Bronze M79012M, and Montblanc TimeWalker Chrono 41

Personally, I would take the least flashy watch. Just because you hear a lot of stories. I don't Enjoy your trip!

All in good fun

Yes of course, it’s up to the individual and comfort level etc.

I would contend that it’s just as likely I’d get robbed of wearing my Rolex in Toronto as in Positano

Thank you guys. Please keep it coming. I k ow that many are concerned with safety but a) I live in NYC so I’m used to situational awareness and b) that’s what insurance is for so it’s nit a question of if but what if m going to take. Love all the thoughts!!

I would take the DD as I tend to lose track of what day it is when I travel long-haul. I don't really care what time it is back home. If I did, I'd take one of my G-Shocks to tell me both the day/date, local time, home time, etc.

I am leaving for Italy next month, I am more than likely just taking the trusty sub date. Nice and simple.

So this is what they meant by moral hazard…

In any case, I think most people are saying take a watch, but don’t take 2. Keeping up with whatever multi thousand dollar watch you’re not wearing seems like a pain on vacation.

I’ll go with the day date. I always forget the day when I’m on vacation.

Just bring one watch, the GMT. Bringing more than one is asking for problems, especially with customs.
