Got the call for my first RO - the 77350. Couldn’t be more excited!

It will not only be my first Royal oak but also my first ceramic watch. Any care tips? I know it’s brittle. Heard that putting it in ones pocket could cause the bracelet to snap. Any Cleaning advice?

Keep it on your wrist, not in a pocket/purse. Wrist awareness is very important as it is possible, but not likely to shatter. Don't bang it on hard surfaces. Clean like any other watch

Compression is what I heard. Didn’t ever think about it but I can see how it makes sense.

AP bracelets don't have play/slop like a Rolex. It won't lay flat, by design, it always has tension on it to keep it in the shape of a wrist. If force is applied to attempt to make it flat, ceramic would likely break.

The bigger questions is , how did you get this as your first RO? I've been to over a dozen ADs/Boutiques and haven't even so much as received a call for anything.

Enjoy it wear it beat it up. Me and my wife have multiple ceramic pieces and they look good as new. Also, if you got the AP Concierge service no worries at all- they replace the ceramic components. Key areas of theoretical risk are - dropping it on marble floors, diamond rings, and "crushing it" by sitting on it. But the same risks are with other PM materials. Enjoy!

The bezel is hard and when I got my AP with ceramic case/bezel someone on here mentioned if you scrape off part of a surface on your bezel a pencil eraser gets rid of it. I used this trick at least once.

I believe this is the ladies 34mm. Not near as difficult to get as the mens version.

There's no factory strap for the 34mm ROs. AP also recommends against DIY on the ceramic bracelets.

True, however I would expect a code, RO then a special RO would be a more common path to the ceramic.

Just be extra careful when you put it on, not one you want to drop.

With ceramic, you’re trading hardness for less elasticity

We enjoy our ceramics a lot. Don't worry about anything other than dropping it or hitting it hard against a hard surface. Avoid putting it in your pockets too. It's the usual wrist awareness we exercise with any watch, but without as much worry about scratching it.
