Watch shopping in Rome

Where are the good vintage shops in Rome? I’ve already been to two AD’s by my hotel but wanted to see where the greys were as well. Thx.

For vintage watch shopping in Rome, try:

Orologeria Pisa - Known for a good selection of vintage pieces.
Hausmann & Co. - Established watch shop with a variety of vintage options.
Watch Passion - Offers a range of pre-owned luxury watches.

These spots should give you a great start on your hunt!

I had a trip to Rome last year. Beautiful place. I stopped in the AD at the Airport (can’t remember the terminal but was flying back to London) and the lady there told me that exhibition pieces are released for general sale on a weekly / regular basis (no waitlist operated) the impression I got was that management will release one or more on a given day and if you show an interest in a released model you can buy. They had a number of steel sports models and more but no release on the day I was there. I tried on a diamond dial day date and even that wasn’t for sale (not that I could afford it) but things may have changed over the last year or so. Worth checking with them if you are in the market for a new model. I picked up an omega swatch at that airport too.
