Incoming!

I’ve traded in my Omega Speedmaster for the second time. This time, it was the current 3861 model in Hesalite. I just found myself never reaching for it. I may get another one in the future as I seem to always find myself with a Speedy. But after I saw this watch, I just fell in love with the color. The watch is somewhat monochromatic with the use different shades of blue. The darker applied Omega logo matching the color of the indices just adds another dimension. It also wears well on my 6.5-6.75 inch wrist. I can see myself wearing this for the next few weeks.

It’s the 75th anniversary version of the Planet Ocean. I think the color’s called a Summer Blue. It’s a 39.5 mm with a 45mm lug to lug.

I've seen these in person, and they are beautiful watches. If they made this model in a 42 I probably would have bought one. Nice move and it looks great on you.

Congratulations. I’m wearing mine now. Such a gorgeous dial. I’m getting the Summer Blue Aqua Terra on a strap next.

Ditto. Love that dial - best of the ‘Summer Blues’ in my opinion.

I just saw this at the boutique this past Friday while picking up my Speedmaster that was in for service. It was really stunning in person.

This is a totally awesome piece! Your pictures are amazing, much better than the images Omega has on their website for this piece.

Having sold off most of my collection over a year ago and the remaining piece, a SMP300 last September I have often wondered what I would buy if I wanted one last piece. Most pieces that I considered from time to time on stay on my wish list for a brief time. So far, I have resisted seriously considering pulling the trigger on any one piece! Not an easy accomplishment for a 30-year WIS!

Well, this one may be the exception. It's not your typical PO, it has way more class and appeal and it could end up being something that I splurge on as that one last piece. Blue has always been my favorite color and with a 7" wrist, the 39.5mm size would be perfect.

Thanks for sharing your pictures of this PO! I'm not entirely sure that's a good thing for someone in my position. Way too much temptation.
