A few pics from OKC with my Moonwatch

I'm in Oklahoma City for work this week. Figured I'd post a couple quick pictures as my white Moonwatch makes the rounds.

I met my wife at Bricktown Brewery, a stones throw from where you are standing in most pics.

It is really cool looking. Info:

"The Centennial Land Run Monument commemorates the opening of the Unassigned Land in Oklahoma Territory with the Land Run of 1889. The frenzied energy and emotion from one instant during the run is captured in bronze by artist Paul Moore. It is one of the world’s largest bronze sculptures featuring 45 heroic figures of land run participants, frozen in motion as they race to claim new homesteads."

Great pictures Mike

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed OKC. Mi was there for a lottery conference several years ago and the local barbecue restaurants were terrific

Nice. Reminds me of Korean War memo in DC in that they are life size and multiple figures. Same but diff!

The watch looks good and these are very nice photos.

I have to ask though, is it a beautiful morning, is the corn as high as an elephant's eye and are you watching hawks making lazy circles in the sky?

Sorry, I'll get my coat!

Just went there tonight, followed by Rendezvous Pizza next door. Great time at both and some damn good pizza!

This particular part caught my attention with the falling horse and rider.

Very cool. Watch looks awesome. I believe this may be the event as portrayed in the movie “Far and Away” with Tom Cruise.

Make sure you walk through the OKC Memorial at night, when the pool and chairs are backlit. Very special.

The museum of art is a great way to spend a couple of hours, small and easily viewed, great Chihuly collection.

If you like beers drink like a local and get a Coop! Or a Shiner if you have to.

Have fun. I did my residency there and OKC has a special place in my heart.

I haven't had a chance to view the memorial at night but did visit and tour the museum. They did a terrific job on it. The museum was very informative and interesting, and it was a pretty emotional experience.

Thanks for the tips. I'll be back before long. We do a lot of trainings out there.
