Anyone own RO both black and white dials?

I currently own a 15510st black dial that I purchase in the grey market at a hefty premium last year. It was my first AP and I got impatient trying to get one from a boutique. I now have the opportunity to buy a white dial from the boutique at retail. I love both dials, and was originally torn when buying the black. Does anyone own both (or owned one then traded for the other)? Would owning both end up being redundant or are they different enough to justify both? For someone that has owned both, did one end up being a favorite?

It would be great if you can get one in Chrono and one basic non chrono to differentiate it.

It will be tough to pass Royal Oak on retail.

Thinking of the same. I have a 15500st silver (bought from grey, fully stickered), and am hoping to get a 15510st black, blue, or green (yeah right lol) dial.

It goes without saying that at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. Plus anyone that is multiple royal oaks will have the same bracelet regardless of the complication (which I think is a notable portion of the ROs value/aesthetics) Also, the black and silver dials are very different. Silver is very dynamic and louder.

I also see that you’re in SD - curious what boutique you’re at and what purchase history (if any) you have. Congrats on the allocation!

I'll get it from the Boutique without hesitation. One, it wears differently. 2nd, it'll average down your price for both pieces. And lastly, if it feels redundant, I'll let go of the black dial (imo, white wears nicer) you bought from grey and wait for a ROC from Boutique.

I would take the allocation. I have a black dial 15500st, but I think the black dial looks much better in a rose gold piece. Taking this allocation will get your relationship started with your boutique if you're looking to collect more AP's going forward. You can always sell your black dial without any repercussions from AP since it was a grey market purchase.

Not black and white, but I’ve got blue and white. Totally different looks and neither would ever be redundant as they have a totally different look. The white/silver really pops in the sun, definitely a summer watch for me. As for the blue it has a different look I’m different lights (hopefully shown below) and can almost appear as black from some angles.

Go for it. I currently own 6 44mm Offshores in various materials and dial colors. Buy what you like and match it to the occasion and/or outfit

I’m in SD but work with a boutique in Europe that I visit regularly. Started the relationship with the smoked taupe ROO.

I have a black 15500st from 2019 and a white 26240st from 2022. Both are not redundant at all. When I dress up in white/baby blue/ other pale colors for a day time event, the white 26240 shows up excellent under the sun and pairs incredible with my outfit. For other times, I rock the black.

Neither one supersedes the other.
